Do you test on animals?

We are 100% cruelty free. We do not conduct or support animal testing of any kind. We do not allow others to perform animal testing on our behalf. We are firmly against the testing of products on animals.

Are your products gluten-free?
Yes. Though we avoid gluten-containing ingredients when possible.

Are your products vegan?
Yes. Our products do not contain any animal-derived ingredients.

Are your products organic?
Yes, all of our products contain organic ingredients when available.

Where can I find ingredient listings?
Full ingredient listings are available on the individual product pages, under “Ingredients.” If you have a question about an ingredient, email us at support@gildedbody.com. When you receive the product, you will also find a full ingredient list on the outer box.

Are the products safe to use on sensitive skin?
We formulate with clean ingredients and  all of our products are good for those with sensitive skin.

Please check the ingredient listings if you have specific allergies. We advice that you consult your physician before using our products if you have any concerns.

Are GILDED products safe for pregnant women to use?
All of our products are pregnancy safe. However, we advise our customers who are pregnant and/or breastfeeding to consult their physician before making a purchase. 

What skin types are GILDED products appropriate for?
All GILDED products are formulated for all people of all skin types.

Are these products fragranced?
Our Body Polish is the only GILDED product that is fragranced. 

What’s the shelf-life of these products?
The average shelf-life of our products is 12 months. We recommend using our products within 6 months after opening.

Are the body skincare products safe for kids?
While our products are safe for all to use, please note our products are not designed for use by children. 

The product I want is out of stock. When will it be restocked?I
It varies for each product depending on the reason it’s out of stock. Please email us at info@gildedbody.com with the product you’re looking for and we will let you know when the product is expected back in stock. You can also go to the product page and click the Notify Me When Available button to receive an email when the product you’re looking for is back in stock.

What are your candles made of?
Our candles are made of a marble base, removed insert and the highest quality materials.  100% natural wax and hand poured. 

How do I properly burn and care for my Gilded Body candle?
Allow your candle to burn over the entire surface until the candle wax has melted before extinguishing the candle. This will prevent any craters from forming and will maintain a smooth wax surface which will ensure your candle burns evenly and lasts longer.

Please follow the candles safety regulations and never leave your candle unattended.  Do not  burn your candle near sources of heat or wind.  Discontinue using the candle when one centimeter of wax is left.  We offer wax only refills for your candle that allow for infinite enjoyment of your candle.   

Wipe the interior surface of your candle with a soft cloth and an alcohol-free cleaner.

Why is my candle producing soot?

Soot is a natural occurrence for any burning object, including a candle. If your candle is releasing excessive soot, it is most likely the result of carbon build-up on the wicks, not trimming the candle wick, over-burning the candle, or burning the candle in an area that is receiving a draft.

If you are experiencing excess sooting, try trimming your wicks to 1/8’’, moving your candle to another location, or extinguishing your candle if it has been burning for more than 3-4 hours.

SHIPPING

Do we ship internationally? 
Yes we ship to all international countries.

What type of shipping do you offer?
Priority USPS shipping is free for orders over $50. Upgraded shipping methods are also available. USPS and DHL is used for all international shipments.

Please allow 1 to 3 business days for us to receive and process your order. Orders received after 12PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) will be processed the next business day. Please allow for a few additional days in transit when the order is shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and to international countries.

Please Note: The delivery window you select will begin once your order has been processed. 

My tracking shows my order has been delivered but I have not received. Where is it?
Please contact the courier service for further details. If you still have not received your order please contact us at info@gildedbody.com and we will do our best to help resolve the matter.   

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Can I exchange or return my order? 
We hope you will love your GILDED products, but in the event that you are unsatisfied, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase. Email info@gildedbody.com with your order number and the items you wish to return, and we will assist you.  

We accept candle returns and exchanges only when the candle has not been used and is returned to us in good condition and in its original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse returns of opened or used products. 

Can I return a product if I have already opened it?
Yes, as long as you have used less than 1/4 of the product, we will accept your return. 

What if my item is damaged, defective, or incorrect?
If items are damaged when you receive your order, please email info@gildedbody.com with your order number and a photo of the items. 

My package arrived without a return slip? What do I do?
Our packages do not include return slips. For help with your return, please email support@gildedbody.com with your order number.

How long does it take to process an exchange or return?
Please allow 7-10 days for refunds to be credited to your original form of payment.
Please note: Original shipping charges will not be refunded.
